Games I've Played in 2026:
- Riichi City
- I really wish this wasn't a Gacha game, but other than that its been super fun. Learning something with as much depth as Riichi Mahjong, with the sometimes annoying sometimes engaging luck aspect as well, truly a unique experience. ...but after a while it kinda got stale. If I had friends who played I'd definitely enjoy it more, but just playing ranked online is losing its charm rather quickly.
- Rorschach's River
- Super difficult so far, not sure I'll finish it for that reason. But I really appreciate the handcraftedness of the puzz, it's really good.
- Minesweeper Online
- I blame YouTube for getting me hooked on numbers. The 'one more game' aspect is incredibly big. I wanna speedrun and go faster and the trophy system is really cool as well. I've been climbing the ranks a bit and that's fun. I even threw the devs a bit of money to help work on the servers and get a premium account to rank up a lil faster. Currently hit my goal of top 10k, now aiming for top 7.5k, hopefully I hit that too.
- MINIGOLFLE
- Daily game Mini Golf. Not really much to say other than it's my current fav daily game.
- Terraria 1.4.5: Bigger & Boulder Update
- I played the new Skyblock seed until Hardmode and I really enjoyed it... at first. But I def should've played skyblock on journey mode to make the constant farming more bearable. And since I felt like I was missing out on a lot of the new stuff by play skyblock, I switched to do a Master Mode playthrough on the 'planetoid' secret seed. All the new stuff I've seen is really cool, but I think my tolerence for new Terraria is just less than it takes me to play a full challenge playthrough, so I might just give up on Master Mode who knows.
- Parallel Dungeons
- A fun lil game about fighting in multiple worlds at once. The one in-game music theme is real fun too.
- workworkwork
- Last year I played the preview chapter of the book and thought it was fine. Then it won an award for best pencil & paper style puzzle game (over Sudokuvania!, which I loved); so I gave it another shot. And I'm so freakin' glad I did. This is a really mind-bending puzzle book. I'm about halfway through and the amount of eureka moments so far as the book gets harder is incredible. I truly get why it won, well deserved.
- Panic Floor!!
- I really wanted to like Panic Floor!!; having a fast tight and really difficult pixel art precision platformer with a bunny girl in a bikini hoppin' and sliding around, where you can't just get the level's gimmick once cuz multiple laps are often required, all sounds great but unfortunately... The door keys aren't automatic and the air has ice physics both for no reason. There are frequent game crashes, keyboard controls don't work, steam input is broken, no control remapping. And none of the steam achievements work. Like this game could've been super great but I sadly refunded it.
- Opus Magnum: De Re Metallica
- This DLC is really tough, especially after such a long break from when I last played the base game. But I'm really enjoying playing Opus Magnum again, it's peak optimization, number go up, game. (err I guess number go down would be more acurate, but you get it.) And they've been adding more and more weekly Journal puzzles too, hopefully I get around to doing those cuz this game is v fun.
- PGRC: European Tour DLC
- OMG this DLC is just amazing. I love grinding for better times, and I'm so glad the whole community has been reignited for this DLC. With it my overall time in the game has surpassed 300 hours making it my third most played game on Steam ever, beating out Trackmania of all things. I'm getting so much out of this DLC and I hope the community continues to push for better times as I have been.
- Mapmap
- Mapmap had a remarkably intriguing demo. And getting to play the full version is just as fun. I'm still playing it so the full review isn't ready just yet...
- Super Sudokoid: Final Transmission & Dark Inversion
- Combining my thoughts for both of these amazing sudoku puzzles in this review: The first one (Final Transmission) was completable in a single 7.5 hr session, which was both amazing and also a bit taxing. I kept thinking it was ending only to have more content to parse. Which should've been a positive if I had not committed to finishing it on that day. Truly a delightful and fantastic experience. One of the boss puzzles, 'Queens & Bishops' on its own was among the best sudoku puzzles I've solved and that's just one of the many bosses. The sequel (Dark Inversion) was much much tougher. It took me 22 hours over the course of a week to finish and was super rewarding. The story moments and upgrade progression were dialed up insanely well. The bosses might not have hit quite as hard as the original due to their difficulty often taking me out of the experience, but the overall puzzle was well worth the challenge, and may well have been my most favorite sudoku puzzle ever. How something this amazing could be set in less than 2 months is baffling to me, and I hope more and more of this sudoku + metroidvania genre continue to be released as these have been so much fun to play through.
- Sudokuvania: Lineage of Logic [Prologue]
- Speaking of... Sudokuvania 2 is coming soon. And the prologue is here and it's a delightful little puzzle. It took me 33 minutes to solve and has me really hyped for the full thing. It's cool that some of the enemy fights are optional, but after doing a solve without them it just made the solve more tedious, so when the full version comes out I'll be doing the optional fights right away. Glad to know that ahead of time.
- Sudokuvania: Lineage of Logic [Preview]
- Not sure where (or if) the preview puzzle will be in the main puzzle releasing next month, but I beat the preview in 36 minutes and it was a great inequality/coloring puzzle. So glad to have an actually release date now. :D

Shows I've Watched in 2026:
- Common Side Effects S1 ★★★★☆
- I loved Scavenger's Reign and this show's got the same animators, and while it didn't start off too great. The ending did a great job of pulling me more into the world. It's got renewed for Season 2 and I'm super excited to watch more of it.
- The Mighty Nein S1 ★★★★★
- Started watching from a friend's rec. Love the animation so much, I love seeing different effects and watching the style. All the characters are amazing and their stories intertwine beautifully. Nott won me over early with the stretching like a cat in ep2. But genuinely all the characters are handled really well. I hugely recommend this to anyone who's okay with gore, nudity, and other adult themes. Lost most of the time with good shows I'm incredibly excited for the next season and I want so much more of these characters.
- Adventure Time S5 & S6 ★★★★☆
- I think Season 5 is the best so far but Season 6 was really good too. Lots of actual lore finally happening in both, and I've really been looking forward to that since I started this rewatch and it's finally happening. It's great actually watching all the episodes instead of just seeing them occassionally whenever they came on like when I was a kid.
- Fear Factor: House of Fear S1 ★★☆☆☆
- As a kid, I kinda liked Fear Factor. When I saw they went with an elimination island style reality game headed by Johnny Knoxville, I immediately thought it'd be like an IRL Total Drama Island. The pacing and editing were honestly dogshit, but the challenges and the players were at least mostly fun to watch... usually.
- A.P. Bio S1 ★★★★★
- Super fun show to watch, with amazing 'Community' vibes and an awesome cast.
- Taskmaster S21 & Taskmaster NZ S6 ★★★★★
- I freaking love Taskmaster & Taskmaster NZ, and them providing the episodes for free on YouTube is amazing. And I swear every season just gets better and better.
- The Pitt S2 ★★★★★
- Okay I was wrong. Watching the Pitt one week at a time is better than binging the whole season. Even though the season takes place in one in-universe day, it's just better to not stress as much as the characters. And like holy fuck I thought the first season was good but gods damn Season 2 is so freaking good like wow. Love this freaking show.
- JetLag: The Game ★★★★★
- I'll write a better review here at some point but it's free on YouTube and it's really fun and great!
- Bigtop Burger S1-3 ★★★★★
- I really liked the whole show, the character moments of Season 1, the impressive animation of Season 2, and the lore reveal of Season 3. And the whole thing is under an hour long so you can watch it super quick. AND they got Alex Hirsch on the track. Fucking perfection!

Movies I've Watched in 2026:
- Code 3 ★★★★☆
- A mix of fun and too fucking real; following a paramedic just trying to do their job. I really liked this movie and the actors did an amazing job.
- Predator: Badlands ★★★★★
- Real fun twist on the Predator movies, fun moments with the cast without holding back on the standard Predator movie brutality.
- Mile End Kicks ★★★★☆
- Finding your courage isn't always sexy and this movie does a great job of showing the awkward sides of your early 20s.
Books / Stories I've Read in 2026:
- The Saga of Larten Crepsley #2 - Ocean of Blood ★★★★☆
- Read from Nov 19, 2025 to Jan 13, 2026.
- Another book in the Cirque du Freak prequel series. This one was deliciously sad and awful, as Shan just loves to do. Not only is that his specialty, but Larten was basically alone at the start of the original Cirque du Freak series so meeting characters that seem important to him that I'm unfamiliar with has a sense of looming tragedy that is handled excellently in this book.
- The Saga of Larten Crepsley #3 - Palace of the Damned ★★★★☆
- Read from Jan 13 to ??? 2026.
- Definitely a faster start than the last two in the series, which I appreciate. But it then returns to the series' normal pace. The character moments shine way more than the story itself, but like the others in the series, if you like the world of Cirque Du Freak then this is another great addition to it.
- The Saga of Larten Crepsley #4 - Brothers to the Death ★★★★★
- Read from ??? to Apr 30, 2026.
- At the start everything was going similar to the previous titles, similar pacing, neat story and character development. But then the book was getting to end and nothing was really getting wrapped up, especially for a prequel series that still needed to set up for the original series in some way. And holy fuck, what an ending! It happened so quick but still managed to be an extremely satisfying conclusion that I did not see coming at all but was also well set up throughout the series. It's been probably over a decade since I last read the original series but this series, and this book in particular, really brought back a lot of that story in such a positive way. And normally this is where I'd say I'm excited for more, but it's a prequel series and I think I'm content with it enough to not reread the original series; though I may check out other (more recent) books by the author instead.
- Latex, Leather, Lipstick, Love, Lust ★★★★★
- Read May 1, 2026.
- Okay after reading this, short stories / novellas / interactive fiction, whatever the fuck they'd be called, are going on here from now on. Took me like 3 hours to read but I read it all in one sitting. This is a story about being trans, queer, chronically online, and navigating all that in your early 20s and the lessons around it. A bunch of this I'd been through in one way or another and seeing a character deal with it and being able to root for them, and see them learn the lessons so quickly that took me so long, was both cathartic and inspiring. I'd just really related to and enjoyed reading this.
- Dungeon Crawler Carl [In Progress - Part 1 Finished]
- Started May 2, 2026
- Beginning was super freakin' good. Great premise and the book was really speaking my language. Hopefully it's not just the same thing over and over and over for however many books are in this series, cuz as good as part one was I can see it getting old pretty quick.
